Projects

Things I build when nobody asks me to

Personal projects on GitHub: encryption, data transfer, network recon and a few experiments. Pick a name for the description, then go to the repository.

PROJECT INDEX: 6 REPOSITORIES

repoaegis

cosaFile and folder encryption

Encrypts files and folders with a password, for data in transit: USB sticks, sync folders, attachments. XChaCha20-Poly1305, key from Argon2id, password in the system keyring. Packaged for Debian and macOS.

repoots-optical-transfer

cosaFile transfer using only light

Moves a file between two devices with no network: one screen shows animated QR codes, a camera reads them and rebuilds the file. Fountain code, QR encoder written from scratch, a single HTML file.

repoctsub

cosaSubdomain enumeration

An alternative to crt.sh: queries fourteen sources in parallel and always reports which ones answered, so you know whether the result is complete or partial.

repokubernetes-spiegato-semplice

cosaKubernetes explained from scratch

An Italian video series. Every episode’s animations and code live in the repo.

repolab-ddos

cosaDetecting DDoS with machine learning

Traffic generation, network features, classifier plus autoencoder. Bilingual documentation.

repowifi-defense-lab

cosa802.11 deauth: detection and mitigation

A teaching lab on deauth attacks and, above all, on detecting them (PMF/802.11w, WPA3). Defense-first, with an explicit legal framing.

Who I am

I keep infrastructure standing, and I make it secure.

I am a systems engineer, and most of my work is on security. I design, automate and monitor infrastructure, on-premise and cloud. I want it predictable before I want it fast.

When I take a project on, I see it through. Leaving things half done is not for me, least of all where security, reliability or performance are concerned.

I build on Kubernetes by conviction. It scales efficiently, makes better use of resources and leaves me in control of the infrastructure end to end. It is the part of the job I enjoy most. Understanding how a system works, how it behaves under pressure, where it can give way.

What I learn ends up in the projects I write in the evening and in a YouTube series where I explain Kubernetes from scratch. It is free, and it is plain and practical, the way I would have wanted to find it when I started.

And teaching something is still the fastest way I know to really understand it.

  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Bash
  • Linux
  • OpenStack
  • Networking
  • Firewalling
  • SIEM & logging
  • Ansible (learning)

Outside work

  • Calisthenics

Sport has always been part of me. For the last three months that has meant calisthenics, where progress is counted rather than argued about.

  • Mountains

I am only getting there now, with my first hikes. I go for the quiet, not for the summit.

  • Snowboard

    And in winter, the snowboard.
